The involuntary journey of a Kiem
In addition to the Dinoplanet, there are numerous other planets in the Schleimviehuniversum. Almost all of them are now populated by Schleimviecher, Gnopsis, Gruftis and Mutanten, even though none of them has the technology or ability to leave the home planet. (The Gnopsis' teleportation range also has its limits.)

Primarily only the Dinoplanet was populated until aliens discovered the planet. They came with their spaceships from a parallel universe. They began abducting Schleimviecher, studying and experimenting with them.

They then released the Schleimviecher back into the Schleimviehuniversum, but not all of them back on the Dinoplanet, but on some planet in some solar system.

In this way, the Schleimviecher, the Gnopsis, the Gruftis and the Mutanten were spread to more and more planets. Whether this was intentional or accidental is uncertain.
However, there is a special planet where creatures exist that do not exist anywhere else in the entire Schleimviehuniversum. This is probably because these Kiems live deep underwater on the bottom of the ocean and never come to the surface. There the aliens couldn't reach them with their transporter beam. These white creatures, which cannot be divided into female or male but only differ from each other by their green spots, lived happily and contentedly down there until one day a few unfortunate coincidences occurred one after another.

A Kiem got accidentally sucked in by a very large, peaceful, plant-eating Unterwasserschleimvieh as it swam past him while taking in water. This has already happened from time to time. When the Fischgetier notices the Kiem, it then usually releases him straight away.

Kieminus was looking for food at the time when he suddenly lost his footing and was spun around. Out of the corner of his eye he saw something big and yellow, then it went dark. He quickly realized that he had run into a Saugfresser. He had to be more careful, this was the second time this had happened to him. Now he could only wait until the Saugfresser noticed him and spat him out again like last time. But that didn't happen.
 | Unfortunately, the Saugfresser did not notice the creature immediately this time and swam to the water surface shortly after the incident to get some air. Kieminus noticed from the decreasing pressure that the Fischgetier was moving towards the water surface. He desperately pounded against the Saugfresser's mouth from the inside with all four arms, but the Saugfresser simply did not seem to notice him. |

At the exact moment when the Saugfresser reached the water surface, an alien UFO appeared and abducted the Fischgetier along with the Kiem in its mouth.
Kieminus stopped pounding when suddenly there was a very strange noise that he had never heard before. He also suddenly felt as if he was floating, completely evenly. Then everything was quiet. The water that was in the Saugfresser's mouth with him stopped sloshing. Kieminus started to feel scared. What if the stories about the aliens were true? His parents had always warned him not to swim too close to the water surface, because Schleimviehcher would always disappear and at some point completely different ones would suddenly appear. What if the aliens have kidnapped the Saugfresser and it might come back as a completely different Fischgetier? What would become of him then? | |
Kieminus carefully felt the Saugfresser's mouth to find the mouth opening and he actually poked one of his arms into a gap and tried to widen it. Bright light came in and the water began to run out of the mouth through the gap. Frightened, Kieminus pulled his arm back. The water outside was gone. Without water he couldn't survive.

Suddenly, Kieminus heard muffled voices in a language he couldn't understand and various strange noises. He remained frozen in shock. Time seemed to last forever.
But just when the fear was almost unbearable, that strange noise sounded again and the feeling of floating set in again. Then there was a "splash" and Kieminus was relieved, the Saugfresser had to be back in the water.

Shortly afterwards, the Fischgetier's mouth opened and Kieminus was able to swim outside. But to his horror, he was completely unfamiliar with the environment, he wasn't at home.
 | Kiems communicate telepathically and so Kieminus called out in his thoughts for his family, for his friends, but no one answered. Where had he ended up? Everything was so different, the color of the water, the plants on the bottom of the water, the fish swimming around him. He suddenly felt so foreign, lonely and helpless. Then Kieminus noticed that he was surrounded by a whole school of yellow Fischgetier. |
They were about the same size as himself, had a hump, but what was even worse, they had a big mouth with lots of sharp teeth!
 | Kieminus didn't want to end up as a Puckelfisch meal, he had to get out of there quickly. He put his arms and legs close to his body and pressed the air out of the swim bladder in his head. So he quickly sank to the bottom of the water and hid himself there between the dark red algae. Kieminus peeked out fearfully from between the algae. The school had disappeared. Maybe they hadn't noticed where he had gone and lost interest, or something had scared them off. |
Anyway, Kieminus was relieved. He was just about to leave his hideout when he felt a shallow current behind him.
Kieminus turned around and froze. A single Puckelfisch was swimming right in front of him. That's it, he thought, I'm going to end up as a Puckelfisch meal after all. Happy images with his family flashed before his mind’s eye.

But the Puckelfisch only circled him once at close range and then swam away. It was obviously just curious and did not see the Kiem as food.
Kieminus cautiously came out of his hiding place. Suddenly the sand in front of him was moving. And now, what was that? He took a few steps back. Two eyes emerged from the sand and scanned the environment.
 | |
Then a crab-like creature crawled out. A Krabbelkrab. Kieminus was relieved, they weren't dangerous to him. He knew them from his home. Perhaps the Krabbelkrab had also hidden from the Puckelfisch.
When Kieminus had calmed down a little, he noticed that his stomach fold was rippling. Well, he hadn't eaten anything all day. At home he would just eat some Schleimgras, but there didn't seem to be any here. Oh well, "home", he missed his family and his familiar environment. The red algae somehow didn't look edible.

Kieminus went looking for an edible plant. He just swam off in any direction, further and further. He remained close to the ground and always on guard. He saw all kinds of unknown Fischgetier and even two Maulklauenfische feasting on a Krakschleim.
Since swimming on an empty stomach was twice as hard, Kieminus wanted to take a break. When he discovered a cave, he trudged himself exhausted to the entrance. But unfortunately the cave was already occupied. Two large eyes looked at him from darkness.

Kieminus rather didn't want to find out what kind of creature was hiding there. So he gathered his last energy and kept looking. There had to be something edible somewhere. If he didn't find something soon, he might have to try some of the algae.
Then Kieminus suddenly discovered an Augenranke, no, they were all over. He knew them, but they were very rare back home, there were tons of them here! He greedily plucked some and shoved them into his stomach fold. That felt good.

All of a sudden he heard someone calling, very faint, from very far away. He stopped and concentrated. It was his partner Kiemto, calling his name, but where was he? "Kiemto, where are you?" Kieminus shouted desperately. "I'm home, but where are you?" came the answer. Kieminus did not know.
He just quickly stuffed a piece of Augenranke into the stomach fold, then swam off in the direction in which the voice in his head was getting louder, until he couldn’t go further. There was a steep rock face. Kiemto also went searching and followed Kieminus' voice until he too found himself in front of a rock face. They had to be in different waters.

Kieminus wanted to go home. He swam up the rock face towards the water surface. He carefully poked his head out of the water, something a Kiem never does. For the first time Kieminus saw the world above water. Everything was blurry, his eye was not suited to the world outside the water. He immediately felt nauseous and went back under.

Kieminus hadn't been able to see much, but there on the rock right in front of him stood a blue creature that looked at him in surprise. It seemed similar to him, two legs, one eye... he decided to ask it for help.
Gnopsika had just teleported to the planet's surface when a white head with green spots appeared from the lake next to her and immediately disappeared again. Suddenly she heard a voice in her head, how could that be? "Hello blue creature, can you please help me? I have to get back to my family in the other water." Gnopsika scratched her colorful tuft of hair. Could that have been the white creature that was talking to her, in her head, without speaking?
 | "Please, I'm so alone here, I want to go home." In the ocean on the other side of the rock, when the water was completely calm, Gnopsika had often observed some of these creatures down at the bottom of the ocean. Why it doesn’t just go over, Gnopsika wondered. But she had never seen any of the white creatures outside the water... "I can't get out of here, I can only survive underwater," was the immediate answer she heard in her head. |
Gnopsika hesitated, what was essential for survival of the Kiems was very dangerous for the Gnopsis. The slightest contact with water gave them a rash. But Gnopsika was determined to help the creature. She positioned herself very close to the rocky shore and spread her arms. "Come, I'll help you," she called in her thoughts.

Kieminus had no idea if or how the blue creature could help him. But he saw it as his only chance to trust it if he ever wanted to see his family again. And when he surmised the blue creature right in front of him on the rocky shore, he gathered momentum and shot out of the water into its arms.
The Kiem was quite heavy, Gnopsika could barely hold him. Luckily, her teleportation powers had recovered by now and so she immediately teleported herself, with the Kiem in her arms, to the other side of the rock directly to the ocean shore.

There, Gnopsika quickly threw him into the water and watched him go. The brief contact with the water had an immediate effect on her. A tingling sensation started all over her body, which turned into burning and finally developed into a nasty itch.
 | Kieminus had briefly lost consciousness, but came to again in the water right away. He immediately recognized his familiar environment and Kiemto was already swimming towards him with their little offspring Kiemel. Gnopsika watched the family reunion from the rocky shore. The few pustules were definitely worth it!
